FAQ
-
What is the optimal PSI for balls used in POWAPASS training?
We recommend up to 15 PSI for training, for maximum speed and distance. PSI should be adjusted down for younger players. A good air pump with PSI gauge is an important investment for consistency, flexibility, and adjustment.
-
How long does the battery last?
The battery should last 90 minutes with constant use at full speed. It is likely that you will get more than 2 hours use for each charge.
-
How long does it take to charge the battery?
A complete charge takes approximately 8 hours.
-
Can the machine be used in a wet environment?
There is no wheel-driven machine for air inflated balls that does not slip when the ground is wet. Drying each ball before placing it in the shoot is an option, but is tedious, and so not recommended. The POWAPASS should not be used in heavy rain.
-
Can the machine be used for heading?
Do not use the machine for heading drills. It is not safe. If the machine is being used to practice crosses, be sure the PSI is no higher than game inflation.
-
How far will the ball travel?
With some variation based on ball inflation, the ball should travel approximately 25 meters in the air at maximum speed. Ground distance will depend on surface.
-
Who is the ideal POWAPASS customer?
The machine can be used by individuals for solo or one-one training, and clubs, who will find it to be an effective supplement to training sessions.
-
Does the machine work for goalkeeper training?
Absolutely. There is no other machine that allows a goalkeeper to train alone. With a swivel and handle attachment, two people can train at game speed and with changes of direction.
-
Does the machine put a spin on the ball?
There is a slight top spin.
-
Can the machine be used to practice corner kicks and set plays?
Yes, however, the primary purpose of the POWAPASS is for quality repetition and first touch trapping.
-
What is the warranty and return policy?
A full warranty is offered for one year. The machine may be returned within 30 days for a full refund, less a $100 stocking fee.
-
Which balls are recommended?
The machine can use any size five ball (with trial and error), but the durability of the balls that come with the machine are recommended. Balls will become scuffed and damaged over a period of time. Size 4 balls can be used (lower speeds, but for younger players) with the provided extender.
-
What is the purpose of the swivel base and handle?
This attachment allows a player to manually rotate the direction and trajectory of the ball, and is particularly optimal for shortened crosses, set plays, one-timers, and goalkeeper training.
-
What are the shipping/handling rates and how long does it take?
